Frozen

Oh how I sit and wonder why

As my life slowly passes by

I am distracted by the thought

Of staying still, stuck in this rut.

I feel as if I froze in time

Knowing I surely lost my mind.

I am so paralyzed by fear

I don’t think I’ll get out of here.

Thrown in the darkest place I know

No light I see, where do I go

I look for signs within my heart

To move me from this place and start

Wanting, needing some pure sign

I will not fail but in due time

Will learn to love and feel again

But I’ve forgotten how long it’s been

As every day turns into night

It gives us time to make things right

In time I know this will be true

And I will be far over you
